CHIMNEY FLUE INSTALLATION

Chimney Flue Installation Service

What is a flue?

A chimney flue is a crucial component of a chimney system, serving as a pathway for the byproducts of combustion to exit the home safely. It is typically a vertical passage or duct that runs through the center of the chimney structure. The purpose of the flue is to vent the smoke, gases, and other combustion byproducts away from the living space and out of the home.

Chimney Flue Maintenance

Regular maintenance of the chimney flue is crucial for safety and efficiency. Neglecting to clean the flue can lead to reduced efficiency, increased risk of chimney fires, and potential health hazards. A buildup of creosote and soot can restrict airflow, decreasing the system’s efficiency and causing smoky fires. It also increases the risk of chimney fires. Additionally, a dirty flue can result in the backflow of harmful gases like carbon monoxide into the home, posing health risks. Scheduling regular professional maintenance and cleaning of the flue ensures a clear passage for smoke and gases, reduces the risk of fires, and promotes safe and efficient operation.

Chimney Flue Repair

Chimney flue repair is essential for maintaining a safe and functional chimney system. A damaged flue liner can result in leaks, poor draft, and the release of hazardous gases. Repairing the flue ensures proper venting and prevents the risk of chimney fires and the backflow of harmful gases like carbon monoxide. Flue relining and patching are common repair methods. It’s important to consult a professional chimney technician for an accurate assessment and effective repairs. Regular chimney maintenance is recommended to catch any flue issues early on.

I hired Santa Chimney Sweep for my annual chimney cleaning/inspection. Noam friendly, professional, and did a thorough job. He even took a picture of how my fireplace was styled so that he could put everything back exactly where it was originally! I loved the attention to detail and going that extra mile.

Priced right, came quickly, and Ibrahim took the time to explain what needed repair and why. They also offered to remove their shoes, used a shop vac to clean out the hearth, and carried the logs which were heavy and boxed for later use into the garage. I appreciated their commitment to keeping my house from getting dirty with the work they needed to do! Recommend highly.
